I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University in 1999. I then received my Masters in Clinical Social from NYU in 2002. In 2018 I received my certification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis from The Center of Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy of New Jersey. Lastly, in 2025 I received my certification in EMDR from Compassion Works.
My clients have described me as personable, bold, and knowledgeable. My treatment approach focuses on symptom reduction through an evidence-based Psychodynamic Psychotherapy approach and incorporates EMDR when appropriate. Throughout your treatment, we will explore the root causes of your presenting issues and work to eliminate unhealthy defenses that keep you trapped in repetitive patterns. I will integrate cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques to facilitate measurable behavioral changes. When suitable, I will apply my EMDR training to incorporate trauma processing. Additionally, I utilize inner parts theory to help you reconnect with various aspects of yourself that you may have long forgotten. I will also draw upon object relations theory to understand how past relationships have influenced your internal mindset. Finally, I offer relational psychoanalysis for those seeking a deeper and more comprehensive analytic experience.
